Newsies Confessions

There's one thing that every fandom needs. A confession blog. Newsies has a couple, but they seem to be abandoned. Therefore, I have decided to create a brand new blog for Newsies confessions, especially considering our little fandom keeps growing every day!

You can submit anonymously or with your username. Please submit to the ask box, as I will be making all of the graphics— we're just starting out, so I thought I'd take the work off of you guys.

Things you can submit: anything about the movie, the play, the fandom, fanfiction, the actors, anything. Anything that is somehow Newsies related, feel free to submit.

However, that being said, anything with excessive profanity and/or slurs will not be accepted. We have fans of all ages, so don't make it too NSFW, please.

Asker Anonymous Asks:
Not a confession: I'm not a part of the newsies fandom, but I do love the movie and am dying to see the show. I was kind of sad to see that these confessions are more about fandom issues or Broadway vs movie, because I'd rather hear peoples opinions on the story/songs/people/dancing/etc. So, confessors: don't confess about the fandom, confess about what your fandom is about.

Not posting as a confession, as they said it wasn’t.

[Photo description: The movie poster and the stage poster of Newsies side by side. The caption reads— ‘I’m going to be honest and say that I don’t think I can have an opinion in this fandom. No matter what I say, however innocuously, it seems to somehow be construed as something mean-spirited and wrong. Unfortunately this seems to happen to everyone who doesn’t share the ‘main opinion’ of the group. I think that there’s something inherently wrong with that, if only because it means that people feel as though their voice isn’t heard— and it isn’t.’]
